My 7 Facts

1. I've gone through 4 Rubik's cubes... The stickers wear off when I time myself to see how fast I can solve it... Its really sad. :( I currently need to buy a new one. They are actually on sale at Walmart right now for a little over $6, they usually cost $10. So get out there and learn to solve one, you'll regret it if you dont.

2. I hate to use more dishes than is absolutely necessary. I eat ice cream out of the carton, soup out of pan, and use papertowels instead of plates. I am trying to save water... see if I don't use a plate or a bowl, I don't have to use the water it takes to wash it. See water conservation at its finest.... or maybe I just don't enjoy doing dishes.

3. I'm a black belt in Tae Kwon Do. I got it like 8 years ago, but I still feel like I could defend myself.

4. My favorite movie is "What's Up Doc?" Its an old one, but its the best. It is soooo funny! Everyone should take the opportunity to see this movie. Its a classic. Barbra Streisand and Ryan O'neal are in it and it was made in 1972. Hilarious.

5. I love to order kids meals. They are perfect. You get a little toy everytime. My favorite toy that I've ever gotten is Raphael, the red ninja turtle. I was all set to start collecting them, so I called the next closest McDonald's to see if they had the other turtles. They told me that they weren't going to have them anymore and Raphael was the last one. Boy was I behind in my quest. So sadly I only have Raphael... but when you squeeze his arms together he does this sweet round kick with his left turtle leg. You know you want your own!

6. I always take tests with a yellow mechanical pencil. Why? Because I am going for the gold! I love positive thinking. It makes life so much more comical when your whispering to yourself, "You can do this," or "You will rock this test," on your way to class or to the testing center.

7. I love to paint ceramics. Mugs and candy bowls are my favorite to paint. I have a yellow mug with red stars on it that I painted two years ago and it has been dubbed "the feel good mug." If anyone is ever having a bad day, they can come over and I will make them hot chocolate in "the feel good mug" and it will cheer them right up. everytime. seriously. it works.

sweats+sneakers=bliss

I am a lover of sweats. They make me smile. They're so comfy. I wish I could live in them. Jenn responds, "You do live in them, Katie." This is true. But I wish I could live in them and not get weird looks from people. This is not a complete laziness issue. I mean who is the smarter one here. I am choosing to walk around campus in complete bliss, while others are choosing to walk around in restricting tight jeans and high heels. High heels? I don't understand high heels at school. I love high heels when I am dressing up for some fun event, but for class... ugh... torture. "Life is to be enjoyed, not just endured" (Gordon B. Hinckley)... even for your feet. Go with the sneakers. Your feet will be so happy. I love comfy sweats and shoes. I usually do get dressed most days of the week though. I just appreciate the days that I can chill in my blissful clothes.

Napoleon

So there is this toilet at work. It is on the 4th floor. Men's bathroom. 2nd stall. Its an automatic flusher. There are only two automatic flushing toilets in the building I work in and this is one of them. The other one is in the disability stall right next to it. Me and Aubrey named this one toilet Napoleon. (we have yet to name the rest) He deserves this great name because of the daily battle we have with him. Let me explain... when we clean toilets we use the "pipe" to pump the water back into the toilet so we can scrub the bowl making it sparkle with cleanliness. This is where Napoleon puts up his fight. The objective of this battle is to pump, scrub, rinse, and dry the guy without making him flush. The other automatic toilet doesn't cause us any trouble since it is in the disablilty stall and we have more room to dodge the flusher censor. But Napoleon is in a normal sized stall. We have gotten pretty sneaky but we are still perfecting the technique to conquering him. We usually end up plastering ourselves against the stall wall as we slowly inch our way out of the stall. Occasionly, we are still caught on his turf and the flushing starts then we let out a defeated scream. AHHHHH! But today I won. I beat him. I beat him good. Never even saw me coming. This week I beat Napoleon 3 out of 5 times. We definitely need to step up our game. It is up to Aubrey next week to continue the war! (we switch off every week between the sinks and the toilets) I know we will win. We have brains....he has a censor.

she aint messing...

Here we are: Me, Jenn, Sarah, Kristen, Dee, and Serena (these are the girls I live with). We dressed up as gold diggers for our Ward Halloween Party and we won 2nd place in the costume contest. Woohoo! We put it all together the day of the party, so it was somewhat of an intense search for the shovels and the gold spray paint. Walmart was our life saver! Serena beautified the shovels and made them look gorgeous in record time. We were so relieved that they actually dried before the event. Now we have six gold shovels chilling by our door...random! I'm excited for the snow so I can at least put mine to use.
