Last Post of 2007

So 2007 is only hours away from being over...forever. It's been a great year though. I've had so much fun. I'm looking forward to 2008 and everything that it will bring... especially the Olympics. Those will be sweet. I should probably make some resolutions... those would be good. I will think about them and post them sometime soon I'm sure. I hope you all have a fun and safe New Years!

I'm saving the world...

I was incredibly excited about this Christmas gift and I know Kristen will be excited, too. My mom just had to laugh becuase it only cost a dollar. This is a reusable bag for my groceries. Instead of using one or two paper or plastic bags everytime I go to the grocery store, I can just use this guy. It is so perfect. I usually don't buy that much stuff anyways because I take my scooter to the store, so I will be able to fit all of my purchases into this bag. My efforts are slowly making this world a better place. If anyone wants to join me in my quest to make this earth a little more wholesome and pure... you can buy yourself one or two at Walmart for $1 each. What an amazing deal for the great work you are doing!

Friends Forever

Last night... Me, Sam, and Rye officially declared our eternal friendship. We are more than siblings, more than family... we are friends and the best way to make that known is by the statement of the simple friendship bracelet. We agreed on the colors and the technique of the knot and then I set out to work on our little banners of proclaimation while we watched Season 1 of the Office. What a bonding moment! After each bracelet was completed, it was tied on the left wirst and we reinforced the knots with super glue. With such an everlasting relationship you can't be too careful...

Tres Down...

Tres to go...about my finals for this semester. I took two of them last week and one this morning at 7:00 am for Political Philosophy and lets just say that I'm excited that the class is over. I went and sold my books back for that class as soon as I was done taking the final and I scored $90. Woohoo! I think I'm going to celebrate the fact that I survived the class and the end of the semester by shopping. New jeans sound fun? I think so. I have one final tomorrow, one Wednesday, and one Thursday, and then I go home on Friday. Yay! I am so excited to see my family. I feel like I have been missing out on all of the Christmas fun. I will probably spend all Friday afternoon rearranging the nativities and Santas, because I am sure Sam and Rye don't have the same decorating skills as I do. haha! just kidding! Can't wait to see you little brothers! Much love family!

Sociology it is...

I just thought I should give an update on my college plans. I have recently declared my major as sociology. I still plan to be a social worker, but I'm just getting there in a different way. If I major in sociology, I can still get my Master's Degree in Social Work. So that's my plan. I'm so excited to study sociology. Next semester I am taking some sweet classes for the major, including sociology of gender. It should be fun...

my mini miracle

I am truly blessed. It hasn't even been a whole week since I ran into the lovely door and my wound isn't that bad at all. They just took the stitches out yesterday. Seriously, stitches were in my head like 24 hours ago and it looks like it happened a month ago. I keep looking at these pictures and I can't even believe it. I am putting mederma and sunscreen on it so the scar won't be too prominent (thanks, sis mcintyre). At this rate I won't be "Katie Potter" for long. :)

i'm concerned

...about the ducks. I went and took pictures of these ducks that have been living at the little pond at the south end of campus today. They are so beautiful and friendly. They make me smile because I can always hear them quacking as I walk to class and it sounds like they are laughing. :) But there is one problem with the ducks... they are still here. Its December 7th and these ducks haven't flown south yet. What are they doing? Shouldn't they have some automatic thing inside of them telling them to get out of this cold weather. These little guys need to fly south...soon, or they are going to freeze. If they freeze then Provo won't be eating ham for Christmas... they will be eating duck. Come on guys... fly south.

life is so comical

this morning i woke up and looked outside of the window found out that....it snowed. woohoo! snow is mucho fun and this is the first snow we've gotten. its perfect because today is the first day of December. happy december! Christmas is coming! yay! i have been enjoying the snow for the most part... but let me tell you a quick story... its kinda hard to explain but just stick with me. we were having a snow ball fight over in the apartment hallways... the apartments open to the outside but there is still a a hallway. anyways... so we were throwing snow balls and i turned to run away to dodge one and i ran right into the edge of an open door with my head and also with my knee. i grab my head and then my friend looks at me all serious and asks me if i'm ok... i was all like yeah, i think.. and then i notice the blood dripping down my nose. its a long story but i ended up with 14 stitches in my forehead. cute, huh? hopefully i dont have evidence of this battle wound forever...
