Found this tutorial the other day and then made this blue beauty with an old t-shirt of Jeremy's. The shirt was in our pile to take to D.I. and I loved the color, so I made it into an accessory instead of donating it to those in need.

busy busy weekend

THURSDAY

we met my family at my great-grandparent's ranch (on my dad's side)

us kids went on a wild adventure on the rhinos... (those cool little cars)

we saw pretty landscapes, big puddles, and wildlife

The boys tried to shoot some prairie dogs, but ended up shooting McDonald's toys instead (they don't move as fast).

FRIDAY

we spent the day at Seven Peaks with my mom's side of the family (my cousins, etc)

SATURDAY

we had a family reunion (lunch) with extended family members (my mom's cousins, etc), but we found some cousins we knew

and finally the Bijou Market...

I sold some earrings. yay! it was fun to see all of the cool handmade things.

It was a very fun-filled weekend.

more summer for me.

all summer i was planning on taking classes during the summer term.

my classes started yesterday and i didn't go.

on sunday, i was thinking. thinking about how i didn't want to go to my 8:00 am class the next day and pretend to be enthralled about persuasive writing or social psychology. i thought about it long and hard and my classes weren't becoming anymore enticing with the sun shining.

so i dropped them.

just like that...

liberated in seconds.

i will still graduate in april 2010, so it didn't change much...i just have my summer back!

now who wants to float the river??

dear dad,

(sorry this is a day late. we had a busy day yesterday)

happy father's day! thank you for being such a great dad. i love you daddy! you are always watching out for me and ready to give advice whenever i ask for it. thank you for teaching me how to throw a ball like a boy and for letting me and the boys play all sorts of sports. you are such a great example. you have such a strong testimony of the gospel and you are always teaching me new things about the scriptures. thank you for your sacrifice, your love, and especially your encouragement. you have always told me that i could be whatever i wanted to be... thank you for believing in me. i honestly feel that i will succeed in anything i choose to do. i have grown so much from you. thank you for everything... your hugs, your phone calls, your emails. i can't wait to see you this weekend!

My new Etsy Shop.

Yeah... that's right. I have started my own Etsy Shop. WOOHOO!

I love making things, so I figured I might as well sell them (then I have an excuse to make more). So far I only have earrings up for sell, but they are pretty sweet!

Farmer's Market

Me, Jeremy, and Richie all headed to the Farmer's Market this morning. I love things like this. People everywhere, fun food, free samples, and so many cool homemade things to look at (and buy). I got two cool rings for $1.25 each. So cute! And the boys got chocolate covered bananas. The Farmer's Market is every Saturday from 9-2 until October. We will definitely have to go a couple more times to see what else we can find (and buy). Loved it!

derby time!

we just bought tickets to go to the demolition derby in heber this july. woohoo! i love these things. a bunch of old cars keep crashing into each other and the last one running wins! there are fires, there are roll-overs, there are paramedics, and there are fireworks after the show! love it. we used to go every year when we were younger and i am so excited to go back.

Riley and I got bored... and creative today. We planned our video out while Jeremy was taking a nap, so when he woke up he did the camera work!
