camping, hiking, and eating a ton!

hold the raisins

we are heading south to go camping for the long weekend. i love camping!

disclaimer: our type of camping includes showers, flushing toilets, and lots of boondoggle.

we are meeting my family there which is wonderful because then my mom is in charge of the food and one of my favorite things about camping is the food. the hot chocolate mornings with warm breakfast, the dutch oven dinners, the fresh scones, and the messy s'mores are just delightful. my mom plans the best food for camping.

but a camping trip wouldn't be complete without trail mix, which is my generous offering for the occasion. i make it myself, rather than buy those pre-mixed packages because raisins are just gross.

it consists of: milk chocolate chips, semi-sweet chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, m&ms, peanut m&ms, cashews, peanuts, and pretzels. extra chocolatey and soooo good!

i miss disneyland - part 2

wednesday: DISNEYLAND

this was the day jeremy got woozy after going on california screaming. it was a minor set-back, but i took all of his fast passes for the crazy rides while he ate treats on the sidelines.
it was GREAT! we are a good team.

thursday: DISNEYLAND

our last day at the happiest place on earth :(

we ate more fun treats and went on more awesome rides!


we also learned to draw minnie, pluto, and tigger (which was AWESOME)! oh, and i LOVE my mickey ears. we also got a su-weet popcorn bowl, some magnets, and a keychain for jeremy.

and then we had to say good-bye...

to the fun rides (loved the rides), the churros & dole whips, and the good times we had.
we LOVED every minute of it. thanks for the party Walt! you are a genius!

friday: BEACH DAY

we were bums on the beach all day (and we have the sunburns to show for it)...


and then we headed to the angels game - which was incredible. angels won 9-0!

we bought our angels gear at a local walmart! woot woot!

saturday we headed back to vegas and spent the weekend with my cool family. now we are home and the trip was way too much fun. disneyland is the place to be, my friends.
