yesterday jeremy and i took off for a quick trip to maine. we figured we should check out the states around us before school starts. so we price-lined a hotel for a night and got a sweet deal. i think rhode island will be next.
first stop: portland

we loved checking out the fishing boats, especially the boat named "Bucko." we also walked around the cool shops downtown, had some of the creamiest ice cream EVER, ate some thin crust pizza, and finished up the night at a minor league baseball game (GO SEA DOGS!). it was an awesome day!

second stop: portland head light
we weathered the menacing clouds and periodic rain for some beautiful vistas. holy cow was this area gorgeous. i would love to live at cape elizabeth.
last stop: ogunquit
the sand was dreamy soft at this top-ranked beach and as we walked along it we decided this spot deserved it's very own day trip dedicated to lounging in the soft, soft sand (which may actually happen since it's only an hour away). they sell delicious treats as well, major plus!
and that pretty much sums up our quick trip to the state.
maine, you did not disappoint!

Hi Katie!! I love your blog! You and Jermey are so cute together!! I always said I should have been born on the east coast!! Thanks for posting photos. Ok, I need to know where you got your cute purse/bag. I want one!!! Please tell Jeremy, my town boy I said "hey now".
Looks like you guys had a blast - Maine is so beautiful and Portland is such a fun city!
I love Ogunquit! I went for the first time when my family was in Maine last week, and I'm pretty sure it's my favorite New England beach.
