London Day 2

Day 1

On Monday, we walked over to Buckingham Palace to check out the guards.  I was pretty disappointed to find out that the guards are now behind the gates instead of reachable by the public.  I was hoping for a sweet picture with one of them.  Since we couldn't get up close to the guards at Buckingham Palace, we decided to learn all about the guards at the Guards Museum.  After that we moseyed over to the Royal Mews, which is the working stable and carriage house of the Royal Family.  That was one of my favorite parts of the trip.  We did some shopping around Sloane's Square at Cath Kidston and Trotters (where Kate Middleton shops!!) and then made our way to our tour bus to see Stonehenge!!  It was quite the adventure since our bus driver got lost and took an hour detour.  Luckily, we made it to check out the rocks (also one of my favorites!).  It was cool to think of the famous people who have been to Stonehenge over the many years. We had a tasty dinner at the visitor's center and we were grateful the ride home was much faster.
