SF Part 4

we started this day taking the street car for a while and then we got off
to walk the streets. here are the cool houses of the day:

we checked out alamo square and the painted ladies of course.

then we caught a bus to golden gate park, wandered around through the lush greenery, and
ended up at the california academy of sciences to do some learning i guess.
they had all sorts of random, cool things.

a butterfly pooped on jeremy but it wasn't the butterfly pictured above

then we blindly hopped onto another bus hoping it would take us in the right direction. it
randomly made its last stop and the driver made us get off, so we grabbed seats on the next bus
even though it was a totally different route. with some help from the locals, we made our way
back to our familiar stomping grounds at union square.

but we couldn't help but stop by lori's diner to enjoy a banana split for dinner.

yeah... that's really what we ate for dinner. love it.

we spruced ourselves up back at the hotel and headed out for a night on the town.

a.k.a. we went and saw WICKED. and... it. rocked. my. socks. and jeremy's too.

DAY 4

we bravely ventured to the san francisco museum of modern art. definitely had some favorites,
but others were just plain weird- i can appreciate ancient nudity in the form of classic sculptures,
but modern nudity in the form of pictures and even videos... aaahhhh!

(collage made of pictures of the sun and some unconventional wooden chairs)

then we walked through chinatown and bought some trinkets.

love it!

then we found the "fortune cookie factory"- i am not sure that three workers constitutes a
factory, but it was still cool. we even got free samples, though i had to pay a dollar to take
pictures.
totally worth it.

then we made our way north(?) to north beach, the italian district

we made our way to coit tower.

the views were cool.

we walked around some more and here are the cool houses of the day:
i found myself loving teal.

then we ventured to a giants game- they lost to the padres.

we had pretty good seats and a way good time. we had burgers and fries for dinner (jeremy isn't a
huge fan of hot dogs)
and then i needed some hot chocolate to keep warm after the darkness set in.

we left at the top of the 9th so we could make sense of the public transportation system (not that
its especially confusing- its just foreign to us) and ensure our sanity by ditching the crowds.

it was a fun day!
