the beach: part 1

DAY 1

our first day at the beach! we got there nice and early- we wanted to be sure and get a
good spot on the beach and a close parking spot.
the clouds hung around for a couple of hours, but
then it got sunny. it was a beautiful day!

we like to mark our territory pretty clearly at the beginning of the day with the boogie boards.

here's the debut of my beach bod (and super cute swim suit):

riley's a pretty good skimboarder for not living at the beach.

lunch of champions! and just chilling in the sun with the fam

the boys boogie boarded in the water and i just bobbed around with
the waves and my mom held down the fort.

then we went to the angel's game. it went to 10 innings, but we lost, 2-1. so sad.

but the fireworks at the end ROCKED! it was quite the show with music even!
(i love the blurry ones)

DAY 2

we started out early again and we ALWAYS make camp at lifeguard station 13.
(red toes for the festive weekend)

bird tracks.. so cute. and some of my favorite boys.
sam and riley are my favorites, too.

a desolate beach... but we are ready for the day.
we ate breakfast on the beach because we were worried about the big crowds...
i guess they weren't a problem.

me and rye found some cool looking shells. there were creatures
inside that burrowed themselves into the sand. crazy!

we played some frisbee and walked along the board walk; and we got these
patriotic sunglasses for free (well, we had to fill out a card with our contact information to enter a
drawing for a bikini... good thing we didn't win, i wasn't going to wear it... neither was riley)

some guys came and set up an American flag. yay USA!
i love when people are in the patriotic spirit.

later we went out to dinner, shopped a little bit,
and then rye and i spent the night making our newest dance video.

still to come: day 3 and day 4

love your suit. and coming from a girl who is roughly the size of a whale, i covet your little body in the suit as well

Dang girl, you look good! And I love your stake-out technique with the boogey boards, lol.
