the current debate

should we get a christmas tree?

cons: we are only hanging around here for three more weeks, we
don't have anything to put on it, and we are poor students.

pros: we found small real trees for $20 and... it's CHRISTMAS!

would you like to weigh in on the topic?
please do!

We always got one when we were at BYU even though we left for Christmas.

Woah, wait. I thought you all already had a tree? Didn't you have a post about cutting it down etc?

If I am wrong and just totally confused (very possible) then I say YES! We just got our first Christmas tree and we love it. It lights up our lives (literally and metaphorically) We got a little tree and I don't think we will ever buy a bigger one. It's perfect!

We're in the same boat, and we probably will be the same way next year too. Students, even though married, just don't spend Christmas on their own usually. Anyway, we figured we would get a fake one early (we put it up before we left for Thanksgiving), enjoy it all we could before we left, and then have it to store for next year. We got a pre-lit 6.5 ft. one that fits in a skinny 4 ft. box. It was $25 at big lots. We thought it best to buy one with lights on it already, and we figured we could add on to the tree over the years regarding ornaments. We have a few, but only in front :).

You should get a tree. My roommates and I just got a live little one and I love it. It makes the apartment smell so good and it makes me even more excited for Christmas. Totally worth it!
