possibilities

$138 from textbook sell-backs
makes for a very happy girl....

sell backs are always a pleasant surprise at the end of the semester. i just love them. the bookstore even throws in a mini kit-kat or twix to sweeten up the deal. pun intended

i think i might spend the money that has fallen into my hands on an editing program for my photos. up to this point i have no idea how to edit the pictures i take or what to do to make them POP! i have just made sure that i like them when i take them so i don't have to worry about it, but it would be fun to mess around with the color, texture, etc. this is what i have been pining after lately... Lightroom by Adobe
which is pictured so beautifully to the left. it is $300 to the general public, but i am lucky enough to qualify for the student price which is $99. it certainly pays to be a student. how can i not buy it?
i just wish jeremy thought that, too. haha!

what would you do with an extra $100?

so close i can smell it...

today was the last day of classes for the semester.
yes!
i ended the semester with a "midterm" in juvenile delinquency this morning and then a lecture on conflict resolution in my lds marriage and family class. who gives a test on the last day of class and calls it a midterm? man they are getting ruthless. but i learned a lot of good stuff about being nice to jeremy and trying to understand his feelings in my religion class today. haha!
we still have finals to get through, but the end is so close! i love it! the next two days are reading days (when we are supposed to study) and then finals are from friday to wednesday, but we do get a spiritual break on sunday, thank goodness.
i am not too worried about the upcoming tests. they seem do-able. wish me luck!

Happy Easter!

This Easter Jeremy and I adopted a tradition that my parents have been doing for the last 10 years. They would hide our Easter baskets, tie yarn to them, and then wind the yarn all throughout the house. We would each have a color and have to roll our yarn into a little ball and follow it until we got to our basket. My parents would get more creative every year. One time they gave us all the same color of yarn (that took a little more work) and then my dad started taking the yarn outside, around the house, and through the cars.
He thought it was SO funny!

Jeremy and I did it to each other this year. Yarn was everywhere! I hid his basket in the oven and he hid mine behind the couch. It was fun! We also hid eggs for each other in different parts of the apartment. My good mom sent us all of the supplies! She is so good to us. Thanks mom!

After we found all of our goodies, we were off to church to

be reminded of the true meaning of Easter.

"I Know That My Redeemer Lives"
LDS Hymn
#136, verses 1 & 4

I know that my Redeemer lives.
What comfort this sweet sentence gives!
He lives, he lives, who once was dead.
He lives my ever living Head.
He lives to bless me with his love.
He lives to plead for me above.
He lives my hungry soul to feed.
He lives to bless in time of need.

He lives! All glory to his name!
He lives my Savior, still the same.
Oh, sweet the joy this sentence gives:
"I know that my Redeemer lives."
He lives! All glory to his name!
He lives my Savior, still the same.
Oh, sweet the joy this sentence gives:
I know that my Redeemer lives!
Have a great Easter Sunday!

sophmore pictures

Over conference weekend, I convinced my little brother, Riley, that he needed "Sophmore Pictures." This is what we got out of a quick 20 minutes at the park. And if you couldn't tell, I am currently obsessed with sun flare!

the weekend

we met up with family for conference weekend. i love seeing my family! my cousins came too! while the boys were at the priesthood session, we ate caramel popcorn and made fun crafts! we made earrings and flowered bobby pins (i got the idea for the flowers here).

don't worry, i won't wear both of the flowers at the same time. the crafts were fun, but the talks we heard throughout saturday and sunday were better. i just love conference! what a blessing! quick story...last october conference i was in romania (awesome!)... in the hospital (not so awesome). i couldn't watch conference, but i was able to download a couple talks on to my laptop and one of them was Elder Wirthlin's talk, "Come What May, and Love It". he must have given that talk just for me. it was incredible.

for the record:

I'm not pregnant.

i lied.

sorry... but that's the name of the game on a day like today. there were many other liars in our midst. i saw 3 signs on campus this afternoon taped to various surfaces that all claimed the same thing:

i guess they are big deal around here. one brash soul even claimed to have 40 conference tickets. hmmm... i think that he is crazy to think that anyone would actually believe that. i wonder if anyone was brave enough to call. but would that be bravery?

then again, maybe it would.
