remember my workout plan??
well, here is an update on my progress...
i started taking "working out" more seriously after the semester ended because i suddenly had TIME to work out. i did alright at first, but i had lots of room for improvement. i would work out 2-3 days a week and still eat whatever was in sight. then we went to san francisco and ate TONS of delicious treats - thank you ghirardelli!-, but we walked a lot too, so while no weight was gained, weight was definitely not lost.
so last week i decided to really take this seriously and start working out 6 days a week. and since last wednesday i actually have worked out everyday (but sunday of course- that beloved day of rest!). and i can tell you... it feels great. i really haven't lost much weight according to the scale, but i feel like i have lost 5 pounds. i have been doing the 30 day shred and no trouble zones dvds (both KILLER workouts), hiking the Y and running back down, and also running 2-ish miles around the neighborhood. i feel healthier and slimmer and i suddenly care more about what i eat, so i am eating healthier, too. [side story: i tried on some capris this morning that i haven't been able to fit into for over 3 years and.... THEY FIT! yay. i didn't even have to squeeze into them, they legitimately fit. i am stoked.]
where i am now:
- 121 lbs (weighed at night even)
- 27" waist
