we started this day taking the street car for a while and then we got off
to walk the streets. here are the cool houses of the day:
to walk the streets. here are the cool houses of the day:
we checked out alamo square and the painted ladies of course.
then we caught a bus to golden gate park, wandered around through the lush greenery, and
ended up at the california academy of sciences to do some learning i guess.
they had all sorts of random, cool things.
a butterfly pooped on jeremy but it wasn't the butterfly pictured above
then we blindly hopped onto another bus hoping it would take us in the right direction. it
randomly made its last stop and the driver made us get off, so we grabbed seats on the next bus
even though it was a totally different route. with some help from the locals, we made our way
back to our familiar stomping grounds at union square.
but we couldn't help but stop by lori's diner to enjoy a banana split for dinner.
yeah... that's really what we ate for dinner. love it.
we spruced ourselves up back at the hotel and headed out for a night on the town.
a.k.a. we went and saw WICKED. and... it. rocked. my. socks. and jeremy's too.
3 more days to come

Derrick and I went our honeymoon to San Fran. We were too young to rent a car, so we were totally dependent on public transpo. The first night we got there, we were SO hungry and we couldn't find any place to eat around our hotel. So we walked and we walked and we walked (like the pioneer song). Finally, we found a little place, and after we went in, we realized that the only thing on the menu we could afford was an appetizer. So we each got a piece of bruschetta for dinner. We went to bed hungry that night. Sad story, hu? But I've always wanted to go back now that we're all grown up, and now that maybe we can afford the main course. haha.
Looks like a great time!

What a fabulous trip you had! Love, love, love San Fran! Haven't been for years so it was fun to see your pictures and remember my past visits.
