utah, part 2

utah, part 1

prepare yourself for an onslaught of pictures...

sunday afternoon my brothers came and picked jeremy and me up and we headed up to mom and dad's house to celebrate riley's birthday.  we ate delicious food, had a little family walk around the neighborhood, and opened presents.  it was the first time we were all together again since Christmas 2011.  hooray for family!

monday morning we went to the ogden temple open house. it was gorgeous and an incredibly spiritual experience.  i love temples! it was a perfect family outing.  we of course took advantage of the opportunity and took lots of pictures while we were all dressed up.

we went out to breakfast at Criddle's after and thoroughly enjoyed their grub.  when we got home we took naps and then rounded up the neighborhood for an epic water balloon fight.  my fingers were raw from tying so many water balloons.  we had over 300.  it was awesome.  we had to make the teams kids against adults because all of the kids wanted to be on Sam's team.  he's a popular guy.

after the battle, we made amends with the children by serving them soda floats and jumping with them on the tramp.  i went with orange sherbert and sprite.  tasty!

after some homemade pizza for dinner (GF of course!), we spent monday night at the drive-in movies.  why are there not more of those around??  it was a blast.  we watched Into the Storm and Dawn of the Planet of the Apes with loads of popcorn, candy, and blankets.  i have to find one in Boston!  we also saw three shooting stars while we sat under the dark sky.  it was an awesome day.
